As you maybe already know, BIOeCON decided to participate in a consortium with several companies (among others: Akzo Nobel, Albemarle, ExxonMobil and Shell Global Solutions International B.V.) and several Dutch universities in the SmartMix proposal entitled "CATCHBIO" that has been initiated by NIOK (Dutch Institute for Catalyst Research). The title "CATCHBIO" stands for Catalysis for sustainable Chemicals from Biomass.

We're proud to inform you that this proposal as been granted. BIOeCON has a large interest in developing knowledge in the area of catalysis and applying this knowledge for business interest. This cooperation and the covered topics are a valuable extension to BIOeCON's current research initiatives. "CATCHBIO" offers an extensive cooperation between different companies and knowledge institutions. This will result in more exchange of knowledge between different institutions that will contribute to faster development and innovation.

BIOeCON expects that the knowledge base that will emerge from the "CATCHBIO" project will result in a competitive edge in the international business society while at the same time it will lead to sustainable development.
